Mr. An Min Met With Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food of Hong Kong York Chow
On Dec. 10, Vice Minister An Min met with Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food of Hong Kong York Chow and his parties.
An Min expressed that MOFCOM and Bureau of Health, Welfare and Food of Hong Kong established a channel for communication and contact in supply of Livestock & Poultry Products from Mainland to Hong Kong under the CEPA framework. Which was benefit to further enhannce communication and cooperation between Hong Kong and Mainland, to upgrade communication level, to enrich the content of CEPA and to provide an convincing guarantee in the work of supply Livestock & Poultry Products to Hong Kong.
York Chow thanked for the support of Central Government to Hong Kong Administration Region for many years and expressed that the Bureau would keep an active communication MOFCOM, exchange relative info and do better the safety work of supplying Livestock & Poultry Products to Hong Kong.
According to statistics, in 2003 Mainland supplied US$450 million livestock and poultry products to Hong Kong, and in January through Oct. 2004, China's mainland supplied US$410 million, up by 14% on a year-on-year basis.
